Far Cry 2

I have to say the game is pretty interesting at first,
with a decent story and friends, and crappy guns that blow up in your hands.

But, once you have played it for a while it quickly gets repetitive.

Drive a car through a small outpost, instantly have Africans shooting at you and chasing you with vehicles, stop the vehicle, get out, shoot with RPG, continue.
Repeat as needed, because every time you drive through the enemies will respawn.

Moving through the jungle severely needs some improvement, but the weapons are fun to shoot and maintain. It's not every day a game falls into your lap with every popular commie-bloc gun that blows up in your hands after 2 mags. Some interesting varietes, like suppressed Makarovs make it decently fun.

Not to mention stealing the African king's gold ;)

I would give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Mmmm, CS season.

We're on the brink of counter-strike season now, all the kids (noobs) with a full summer of nothingness are about to hit the internet like a plague.

Brace your skills, they will be the dumbest opponents you've ever played ;)

Happy gaming!

Video game reviews

These videos are the best for some games like Left 4 Dead, shows actual gameplay between some friends so it's probably fairly accurate as to how it goes.

Yes, Skyrim is worth your time, well, at least as far as a video game goes.

It is literally epic endlessness and fun, killing orcs, giants, dragons, bandits, and stormcloaks and imperials.

Let me put it this way, if you don't buy it, you won't get to play it.

Also a shameless plug for a great way to communicate with congress so the American people get less f*@$(%*ED in the future. Give it a whirl.

Crysis 2

I'm sorry to say for all of those Crysis fans out there, Crysis 2 is broken and EA doesn't care about their customers enough to fix it.

On top of all that it comes with copy protection that limits you to how many times you can activate the game.

So basically if you are behind a strict NAT you cannot play multiplayer, you can't even log in.
It's an unresolved issue now for quite a long time, they aren't going to fix it.
The game won't let you play multiplayer if you were unfortunate enough to buy it.

Crysis 2 is a great game, astounding graphics, and all the bells and whistles (even 3D).
But..  It doesn't work.
They sold me a product that doesn't work for probably millions of people, and that's just plain shitty of EA.

EA = thumbs down.

Sorry but for me Crysis 2 is a no-go.

Counter Strike Source: Beta Update

Recently I've settled into a groove of playing Counter Strike Source Beta regularly,
basically because it's easy to get a group of friends playing it with voice chat and stable servers.
Did I mention it was better than regular Source ?

Counter-Strike: Source Beta

Well guys as you may have heard there is a new Counter Strike coming out soon.  And so as a marketing strategy the free open Beta named "Counter-Strike: Source Beta" gets a new update, and the update makes the game TOTALLY LAGGY AND SH***Y.

So of course they expect players of the open Beta to buy the new CS:GO because the Beta was actually worth playing.

Honestly I hate Valve and I think their business tactics are almost criminal, but that doesn't mean I won't still play CS:SB and eventually CS:GO.

It appears they have released another patch that fixes it.
